The coaches of the KL Tigers U14’s aim to promote rugby as a team sport and develop the skills of junior rugby players.
We welcome all young enthusiasts of whatever level to come and see what we are doing, and irrespective of race, creed, social standing or ability, you will get the warmest of welcomes, and encouragement to “give it a go”.
We endeavour to promote a safe environment where young players can learn and enjoy their rugby. We aim to develop a team mentality, playing skills that are vital on the pitch, and a positive team spirit and attitude which are so important in both sport and life.
Our objective is for the players to do their very best during competitive games and our ultimate goal is happy players, happy parents and happy coaches; the key components of a successful team.
We encourage players to play physically hard but to always uphold the ethos of fair play and sportsmanship, both in training and in competitive matches, and to show utmost respect to our teammates, opponents, coaches and match officials both on and off the field.
To succeed in rugby you depend on teamwork and you cannot win by individual talent alone. Our team trains and plays with this in mind and this attitude extends further than the players. We encourage everyone to get involved; if you are a parent, player, coach, or club volunteer we all work together to ensure we achieve our common goal, of developing players, and of inspiring team spirit and the overall success of KL Tigers as a Club.
