KL TIGERS MEN, VETERANS AND SUPER VETERANS TAKE TOP SPOT IN CLEAN SWEEP AT THE PEKAN 10'S

1st July 2022

It was our clubs first visit to the Pekan 10's and what a great event it turned out to be. A well organised tourney with lots of tough opposition. Our mens team made the cup final on the Sunday after a kick off in the semi. 3 kicks for each team but only one split the posts in windy conditions. It was a one try final and Tigers took the honours! This followed the veterans super Saturday where both the Super Vets and the Veterans teams both won the cup.

A massive thank you to our sponsors Bar Roca for building us a clubroom within their venue. KL Tigers now have a social space to call their own, entertain visiting teams, hold meetings and get together as a club to watch the rugby broadcasts.

RUGBY TRAINING RE-STARTED AFTER THE MID YEAR BREAK

27th August 2022

After a 6 week break, KL Tigers training re-started at our three training locations in and around KL. It will be a busy end to the year with 3 major events in KL and 4 tours overseas which will see all our sections compete.

KL TIGERS VETERANS TAKE THE PODIUM IN 2022

July 1st, 2022

Over the past 4 years our past legends of the game have been playing and touring and enjoying the game in a more social manner. 2020 started with a new midweek training session that has renewed the ambitions of the section. Our first 10's tournament of 2022 was the Polis Veteran 10's. The aged to perfection Tigers were unbeaten on their way to the final but had to settle for the silver medal against a fast and organised Polis team. Next up was the Pekan 10's where Tigers fielded a Super Vets over 50's and a Vets over 40's team. Both teams took the top spot in a well run event with a fantastic atmosphere. The veteran next outing will be at the Highland games on the 24th of September 2022.

KL TIGERS INTRA-CLUB TOUCH TOURNAMENT 2022

August 21st 2022

KL Tigers organised its first ever Intra-Club Social Touch Tournament for our adult sections and academy players. Over 80 players across the Women's, Men's, Veterans and Academy groups took part in the event at Garden International School. Whilst the red team ended as winners the victor was KL Tigers bringing together all these groups for a fun and social day. Following the event a social function was hosted our sponsors Cork and Clever.

KL TIGERS WOMEN GET SET TO ROAR!

It's been a tough 2 years through the pandemic but not for the KL Tigers Women. The section has grown to 30 players and they are now looking to build on their hard work in 2021 and compete overseas on tour and at home against a growing number of women's teams.

OUR STORY

Formed in 2014, KL Tigers has grown rapidly to more than 600 players. We field teams in Junior Rugby from 4 to 18 years old, a thriving girls Touch Rugby section as well as Men's, Ladies and Veteran's Rugby. With players, coaches and volunteers from over (20) countries we are a true united nations of Rugby and we have a spot for everyone. Our Rugby Development team includes 2 full time coaches to World Rugby level 3 and a coach educator.
We are always recruiting for new members, coaches and volunteers to help with club operations and players of all abilities, both boys and girls, so if you would like to get involved or give the game a try please contact us or come down to one of our training sessions.
